La música es una parte sumamente importante de la saga Grand Theft Auto. Es por esto que cuando Rockstar Games anunció GTA: The Trilogy Definitive Edition muchos se preocuparon por la banda sonora. Después de todo, problemas de licencia pueden hacer que algunas canciones emblemáticas se pierdan. Para sacarnos de esta duda, Rockstar reveló la lista de canciones que estarán en este relanzamiento.
Se trata de una lista de canciones enorme que presenta algunas de las canciones más emblemáticas de la trilogía de Grand Theft Auto. Hay canciones que faltan, como un par de temas de Michael Jackson que se quedaron fuera de anteriores relanzamientos de estos títulos.
Llama la atención que VGC apunta a que vio material filtrado de GTA: The Trilogy Definitive Edition y en él escucho canciones que no están en la lista. Entre ellos se encuentran Love Missile F1-11 de Sigue Sigue Sputnik y Video Killed the Radio Star de The Buggles. Se desconoce si la compañía olvidó incluirás en la lista o si serán eliminadas.
